Stefan Roeschlein\u2019s story couldn\u2019t be more different: born in rural Bavaria in 1888, he spent his youth in an orphanage in Munich with his older brother Willi. Being a gifted mathematician, his career surprisingly began not in optics but at an insurance company.<\/p>\n
Stefan got bored of his job relatively quickly and decided to pursue his passion for mathematics in a more creative way: optics.
